This year's forum built on the previous ones and followed-up on commitments to foster concrete progress in the implementation of the ECOWAS region's sustainable energy targets. The three-day event showcased the progress made by the entire region in achieving ECOWAS goals, while emphasizing the remaining challenges that energy stakeholders continue to face. It also highlighted the crucial role ECREEE has played in helping to build up the policy and regulatory framework conditions to foster renewable energy and energy efficiency growth in the region. In order to bring financiers and bankable project ideas together, over 120 business-to-business (B2B) matchmaking sessions were held to advance the possibility of project implementation.
